The award-winning EVO Pizzeria does wood-fired pizza at its finest. Chef Blake McCormick only uses locally sourced ingredients with the ingredients’ place of origin proudly handwritten on a prominent chalkboard in the restaurant. As the Charleston City Paper put it, “EVO was doing local before local was cool.”
The Pork Trifecta and Pistachio Pesto pizzas are two of their best known pies, and there’s good reason for it. The Pork Trifecta is topped with beautiful bacon, pepperonis and sausage. The Pistachio Pesto was voted Top 10 pizzas by the Food Network and comes with Split Creek Fromage Blanc, ground pistachios, creme fraiche, mozzarella, and parmigiano-reggiano.
