Gatekeepers Inn at Quarters F

Next to the Chapel is the new renovated Quarters F, known now as the Gatekeepers Inn. The two story late Victorian-era home was a cottage for the keeper of Chicora Park, a public park commissioned in 1895 by the City of Charleston and designed by the Olmsted brothers, sons of landscape architect Frederick Olmsted in 1896. The building was constructed in 1898. The residence was purchased by the United States Navy for the Admiral until a larger home was completed. Quarters F is the oldest quarters in the historic officer’s housing district.

This venue, The Gatekeepers Inn, is a beautiful 4-bedroom, 3 full bathrooms, and 3-1/2 baths boutique stay. The house features a large dining room, sitting room, morning porch, music room and solarium overlooking the grounds to the Chapel. This is a perfect addition for the wedding parties to stay the night before the ceremony, a romantic getaway, or even a girlfriend’s weekend.
